Lemon, minerals and nuts on the pure nose. Suave on entry, then creamy-sweet yet penetrating in the middle, with terrific mineral cut and strong soil character. This has a breadth and airiness of texture that reminds me of a top chardonnay from Helen Turley. Finishes long, generous and pure, with a note of pineapple. Showing very well today.

Meursault

Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, is famed for its rich and complex Chardonnay wines. Known for opulent textures, vibrant acidity, and nutty, buttery flavours with notes of stone fruits, citrus, and hazelnuts, these wines also feature a subtle minerality and creamy mouthfeel from limestone-rich soils and oak ageing. Though lacking Grand Cru vineyards, Premier Cru sites like Les Perrières, Les Genevrières, and Les Charmes produce exceptional wines. Top producers include Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Domaine Roulot, and Domaine Coche-Dury, all celebrated for showcasing Meursault's unique terroir.
